Blog 54: Your Attitude Determines Your Direction

Hey you guys! HAPPY WORD WEDNESDAY!!! This is the last blog post for May, so let’s make it a good one! Let’s begin!

Let’s start with today’s topic. “Your Attitude Determines Your Direction”. What does that mean? For example, let’s say when you grow up, you want to be a nurse. You know that in order to achieve this goal, you have to get good grades so you can make it into nursing school when college application time comes around. If you walk around having a poor attitude because you got one bad grade on a test, that could make you start thinking things like, “What’s the point? I won’t be able to make it to nursing school now.” and a lot of other things. BUT if you decide to take that anger that you have about that bad grade, and use it to make you study harder and try better next time, you can and will go far. If you let that one test, mess with you, your direction can change completely. Why? Because of your poor attitude and thought and willingness to give up on your dream. Know what I mean? I’m sure we have all had thoughts like those before, to give up. Whenever we get discouraged, let’s turn to Jesus and ask for perseverance and for the Holy Spirit to be there with us while we study, and other things we need or want help with. We can go far, but how far will we go, is determined on how our attitude is, and our attitude determines our direction. What type of attitude will you have?

1 Peter 4:1 “Therefore, since Christ suffered in his body, arm yourselves also with the same attitude, because whoever suffers in the body is done with sin.” ( NIV )

Ephesians 4:22-24 “You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; 23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds; 24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.” ( NIV )

Let’s put off our old ways and our old self and put on Jesus’s attitude and new self. We can’t do it alone thought, do it with a trusted Christian friend or adult who will help you, encourage you, and be there to remind you when you start slipping into your old self again.

HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK EVERYONE!! The next time I see you, we will all be on SUMMER BREAK 😁😁😁!
