Blog 43: Impact

Hey Young Believers! Happy WORD WEDNESDAY! How are you this wonderful Wednesday? I hope you enjoyed Christmas with your families, some good food, maybe presents šŸ˜‰, etc. If you want to get a peek of the GYB sistersā€™s Christmas, click this link. Todayā€™s topic is on Impact. Shall we begin?

What do you want to do with your life? What do you want to be known for when you die? Who do you want to be? These are some of the three hardest questions someone can ask you, donā€™t you think? Me? I donā€™t know exactly what I want to do with my life. All I know is that with my life I want to be a light to others. I want to show people Jesus with my life. What do I want to be known for when I die? This one took me a long time to think on. I want to be known for my heart. I want to be known for how I loved others and cared about them. My kindness towards and etc. Who do I want to be? I want to be a police officer and a lawyer when I grow up. Who says I canā€™t be both? (šŸ˜‚ ) You know how you have dreams but then thereā€™s always that one, that one dream that you want out of all of your dreams? Mine is to be the President of the United States. Iā€™m saying all of this to say is that with your answers to these three questions how do you make an impact in your community or the whole world? Referring to question one, my light, showing people Jesus, etc can help them become saved, find joy, love themselves, etc. It helps them internally. Question 2. Me being known for my heart means that I changed someoneā€™s life or lives and they remember me because I made an IMPACT. Lastly, question 3. Me being who I want to be effects others but let me throw a question out here. Who I want to be, will it be for the good or the bad? No matter which one it is I will still make an IMPACT. If I decided right now, to go rob a bank. I IMPACTED others lives by taking their money. If I decided right now, to go to a grocery store and find a family to buy groceries for. I IMPACTED their life by helping them save money and not only that but showing them kindness, love, Jesus, etc. BONUS lol! Letā€™s make an IMPACT today! Big or small, itā€™s a IMPACT.

Proverbs 28:27, ā€œThose who give to the poor will lack nothing, but those who close their eyes to them receive many cursesā€. The Lord promises if you give to the poor you will NOT ā€œlack nothingā€. If you decide to look away every time someone is in need and not help them you will ā€œreceive many curses. We shouldnā€™t give because we donā€™t want to lack nothing, or receive curses, etc. We should give because Jesus GAVE His LIFE! He is our example, amen?

Today Iā€™m going to share with you the parable of the Good Samaritan. (Luke 10:25-37)

You can find the full parable through verses 25-37 but I will only be in 30-35. A man was traveling and came along some robbers. They fought him, stole his belongings, etc. They left him on the road to die. Soon a man who worked with the church came along and saw the hurt man. He turned away and kept walking like he didnā€™t see the hurt man. How rude, donā€™t you think? If you really think bout it, we sometimes do the same thing. Another man, a levite, finally came along. Good news! Donā€™t you think? Sorry friends. He does the EXACT same thing the other man did. Lastly, a Samaritan comes along. The hurt man knew he couldnā€™t count on this man for help because Jewish people and Samaritans donā€™t like each other. You would think the Samaritan would make fun of the hurt man, and other stuff BUT He didnā€™t. Right away, He bandaged the hurt man and put him on his donkey to take him to an inn ( hotel ) to rest up. Verse 35, ā€œā€˜Look after him,ā€™ he said, ā€˜and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.ā€™ā€ Hold up, recess, Break time, whatchamacallit. Just. Stop. First, he bandaged the man. Not just that but took him to an inn to stay at. On top of that, like a cherry on top, he payed for the hurt manā€™s stay at the hotel. If anything yaā€™ll thats impact. Like, I-M-P-A-C-T. He showed that man NO MATTER WHAT, I will help you. He showed the hurt man kindness, love, gentleness, and most of all Jesus. IMPACT someone this WEEK!

To end a quote by Miss Maya Angelou. ā€œAt the end of the day people won't remember what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel.ā€ Maybe you went to a senior citizens home and had lunch with a nice elderly couple. The people who you ate with probably wonā€™t remember why you said you wanted to or why you did but, they will remember how you made them feel. Kindness and love or the feelings of they didnā€™t want to, they were forced, they didnā€™t like me, etc. From now on when we go into an atmosphere with people, letā€™s make sure we leave making them feel good.

THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR READING šŸ¤—šŸ¤—šŸ¤—!!!! Have a great rest of 2022 and catch you on the next side lol! Sending love, prayers, and MOREā€¦ ā¤ļøšŸ˜Šā¤ļøāœŒšŸ½āœŒšŸ½āœŒšŸ½
