Blog 24: TRINITY SERIES ( Part 1 ) Who is God the Father?
HELLO YOUNG BELIEVERS!!! Welcome back, it is Word Wednesday. We are about to go into a great month of giving some answers to the questions you might have had. This series is about the 3 parts of God. Over the next 3 Wednesdays we will be doing a series called the TRINITY series. If you do not know what the Trinity is, let me give you a brief explanation. The Trinity is the 3 parts of God. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All 3 are God but He is one. I know it can be confusing but we are going to take this one step at a time. Today we will be discussing God the Father. Next week, God the son and in 2 weeks God the Holy Spirit. My prayer for this series is that this discussion about the 3 parts of God brings us all closer to Him and that HE helps me dig a little deeper into each of the 3 parts of God so it is understandable. Knowing the different sides of Him helps us to understand who He is. Before we begin, I want to encourage you to pull up your Bible app or get your Bible and read along with me today!
God the father. Who is He? God the Father is a gracious Father, an unconditional loving Father, a merciful Father, omnipotent Father, a providing Father and a righteous Father. Psalms 145:8 says “The Lord is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy.” Our Father gives us mercy when we mess up. It doesn’t matter what we do He still loves us unconditionally. We can lie, we can cheat, we can be mean, etc but that doesn’t change the way our Father feels for us. He is full of compassion the verse says. He understands we are human and we will mess up. He also doesn’t get angry easily with us.. Our God is so loving to His Children!
Our Father is our PROVIDER. Matthew 7:7 says “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye. shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:”. If you ask God to help you with your needs, He will help you says this verse. It “shall be opened unto you”. God is a Provider. He wants to provide for you. He provided Jesus, His Son, to save us from our sins so we can be up with Him one day in Heaven. God always provides for us. He loves His children. In Luke 18:16 says, "Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God”. He wants us to come to Him. Jesus was in a town somewhere, sitting down and parents started bringing their children to Him. The disciples were trying to stop them from coming and that’s when Jesus said that verse. He loves us so much, that He said do not stop them from coming, they belong to me. It is still the same today guys! HE WANTS US TO COME TO HIM!!! Whenever we do not know what to do, we should pray and He will give us guidance. He loves YOU AND ME 😍!!!
Our Father CREATES. Genesis 1:1 says “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” God made this world HIMSELF. Without anything to help Him. It says in Genesis chapter 1 that this world was dark and was without form. Genesis 1:3 says “And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.” ALL God had to do was speak and whatever He said was done. He is omnipotent guys, ALL POWERFUL!!! When Jesus and his disciples were in a boat one time, a storm arose. Jesus was sleep and did not stir. Matthew 8: 25-26 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.”Guys do you get what I’m trying to say? Our Father is so powerful, THAT THE SEAS AND WINDS OBEYED HIM!!! Last time I checked no human can do that. That is how powerful our God is.
Our Father has UNCONDITIONAL LOVE for His children. Even when Adam and Eve bit fruit they weren’t supposed to God still loved them. He still made sure there was a way we could be in-touch with Him. He sent Jesus, His one and only son, down to our wicked world to save us from OUR SINS by dying on the Cross. He LOVES us.
Let me give you a quick recap. Our Father is powerful, an unconditional loving Father, omnipotent, gracious, and merciful. He loves His Children and ALWAYS wants to Provide for us! And that is, who God the Father is. Have a great week and make sure you come back next week for an AMAZING NEW POST!!!
